Showgirl Headdress Creation with Anna Kolusniewski
Showgirls rejoice! Always wanted a theatrical feather headdress? Well this is the class for you!
Led by professional costume jewellery designer Anna Kolusniewski, in this four hour workshop students will be shown everything they need to know from design to construction to create a professional finish.
This class is suitable for complete beginners to those with some experience.
All materials provided, with four colour palettes to choose from!
What to bring: Just yourself! We'll supply everything you need. If you do have any particular feathers, jewels etc you'd like to include you are welcome to bring them however this isn't required.

Special Interstate Guest Workshops with Jazida!
Joining us for one day only is fabulous interstate burlesque performer & producer, Jazida (ACT). Join her for either (or both!) of her signature workshops that are suitable for all levels of burlesque experience!
Workshop 1: Silk Fan Veils
Jazida is known for her use of silk fan veils, and she will share her tips and techniques on using these props with showgirl style! Learn a variety of tips, techniques and exciting combos!
Classes are suitable for complete beginner to those with experience looking to finesse their existing skills.
Workshop 2: Belly-lesque!
Learn a burlesque style choreography through a bellydance lens and explore defining the difference between belly dance and burlesque. Jazida has dancing bellydance since 2009, performs at Turkish restaurants round Canberra. Outside of bellydancing, Jazida is a celebrated burlesque performer who has won multiple awards and accolades!

Masterclass: Making Ostrich Feather Fans
Learn the technical side of both making and maintaining burlesque ostrich feather fans with resident Fan Dance instructor Poppy Cherry!
In this hands-on practical workshop aimed at both the budding and exerienced fan dancer, Poppy will guide you through:
- How to maintain, store and transport your feather fans to ensure longevity and a fluffy plumage.
- How to repair common fan injuries and breakages.
- How to build your own pair of ostrich feather fans using plastic staves, hardware and ostrich feathers.
Please bring all your own supplies. Upon signup Poppy will email a list of recommended places to buy ostrich feathers & staves.
