About the Workshop:
This class will focus on dance movement that goes with Rag, Jazz and Swing Music. This will be fun for anyone interested in dance styles like Charleston, Black Bottom, Legomania, Cake Walk and Eccentric Dance. We will explore the dancing from it's origin and look at ways to personalize and improvise with the style today. No experience required. All levels are welcome to attend. It is recommended that you wear comfy dance shoes with suede or leather soles during the class.
About Russell Bruner:
Russell Bruner is Vaudevillian sex appeal in seersucker and straw boaters! A mischievous mustachioed devil of a man, Russell is a celebrated physical comedian variety artist, song and dance man and burlesque peeler. As a performer and choreographer Russell has recently won 3 titles at the world renowned Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend held in Las Vegas: “King of Burlesque 2012″ Best Group & Best Duo 2013. In addition, Russell has spent much of his time performing acrobatics, partner dance and gentleman juggling with the Wanderlust Circus and Swing Time! based in Portland Oregon. His favorite drink is Ramos Gin Fizz and his favorite color is Red.
