Liquor Lollipop and Poppy Cherry had a dream... To create a new home for all things burlesque in Melbourne!
Following the closure of 5 years of Burlesque Bar in November 2013 it really was the end of an era, but also an opportunity for us to start fresh with a new space! We wasted no time getting to work, and now only 3 months later, Maison Burlesque is born!
French for 'Burlesque Home' that's what we're working to create - a welcoming yet eclectic space for burlesque themed parties and events, burlesque and pinup workshops, photography, as well as a home for local performers to use for rehearsals and industry events.
We've been working tirelessly behind the scenes, on every little detail from wall coverings to restoring old furniture, and with our own hands we've built a new little wonderland for you to enjoy - we're almost finished as I write this and will have photos to show you in just a matter of days.
